Why I look at the light across the water every night

Each night I look across the water at the green light which marks the location of Daisy's house. I feel so alone, even though just looking at her house, thinking about her, makes the pain even worse. It wasn't always like this, she and I were happy once, all right before the war started. During that time was when I had to leave, but I told her I would be back for her and would write her every week. By the time I did arrive back home, she had already turned her back on me. I had learned that she had married a man named Tom. When she had written me the letters though, she had always said that she would wait for me, but obviously that was a lie. Learning this news was by far the hardest thing that I have had to go through in my life. She was, and always will be, the love of my life.

What I was feeling while at dinner with Daisy and the others

When I was invited to go to Daisy's to eat, along with Nick, Jordan, and of course her husband Tom, I was feeling nervous. I was unsure of the reaction that Tom might have to me being there, fearing for what he might do to Daisy if he realized that we were having an affair. Arriving upon the house, I realized that Nick and Jordan were already there, waiting in the dining room along with Tom. Daisy showed me to my seat, but while we were talking, a little girl had run up to Daisy. It wasn't until that little girl started to call her "mommy", I came to grasp the fact that it was true about her having a daughter, though it didn't even seem that Daisy was that interested in her. After this moment had passed and the nanny had taken the daughter away, Tom had come back into the room after answering a call and noticed the glance that we had given each other. It was from then on that Tom had started to question me about my past. Feeling the pressure from these questions, I had then declared that Daisy and I are in love. In shock, Tom had thought this wasn't true, but I had even gone as far as saying that Daisy had never loved Tom in the first place. Seeing how confused Daisy was, I tried to comfort her, but she ran off before I had a chance to say anything. From this moment on, I was dreading that I may have seriously injured our relationship together.

What I was thinking while in the pool

Feeling stressed from the events that had just occurred with Daisy, I felt that I needed to take a break. Seeing how hot it was outside, I decided to swim in the pool, knowing it was the best way to cool off. While lying there, I started to go through the events of the night step by step, thinking what I could have done differently, especially when we had ended up hitting that poor woman with the car. Looking back, I knew we could of stopped to see if she was okay, to help her get to a hospital. Being in the heat of the moment though, we had run from the situation. All of this is so much to keep hidden from so many people. To pull me out of this deep thought, I had heard a crack of a stick on the lawn. Assuming that it was just an animal from the woods nearby, I went back to my thoughts to continue to unravel the happenings of that night. The next thing I knew, I heard the click of a gun, and then everything went black. I never thought that I would die alone.

Why I helped Daisy in the car accident

It was on our way back from eating in the city, only Daisy and I in my car. She had asked to drive, knowing that I wouldn't of said no to her. Just from the look on her face, you could tell that she was enjoying herself. At that moment, there was a thud against the car. Daisy had then realized that she had hit someone. Starting to create extreme anxiety for herself in the situation, I told her to move over and to let me drive. Quickly, I had driven away from the scene while Daisy was crying hysterically next to me, worrying about what might happen if someone finds out who did it. I expressed to her that she didn't need to worry and that I would take care of her. After dropping her off at her home, I found that a person had witnessed the event and Nick, Tom, and Jordan had found out. Worried for her safety of what Tom might do to her, I stayed at her house and hid in the bushes. Hearing Tom get out of his car, I awaited anxiously and remained furious of what he might do to hurt my poor Daisy. Hours had passed though and nothing had happened. Seeing that everything was well, I went back home, feeling the pain in my heart that she has finally left me.

What I was feeling when I reunited with Daisy at Nick's

I was so excite when I had found out that Nick was related to Daisy. This was my chance to finally reunite with her. When talking to Nick, we had planned that I would show up to his house soon after Daisy arrived, as if it were a surprise. While we were talking though, we heard a car start to come up the driveway. Nervously, I ran into another room, hiding, while Nick went to answer the door to let Daisy in. I heard the sound of her voice, which was sweet as I remember. Nick had lead Daisy into the parlor and left her there so he could, actually come to find me. Instead, I had walked into the room that she was waiting in, anxiously awaiting her reaction of my arrival. I sit down in the seat next to her, waiting for a conversation to start. This moment is so terribly awkward. Feeling the tension and awkwardness, Nick had left the room, leaving Daisy and I alone. After awhile, the awkwardness receded and we started to talk about what's been going on in our lives. By the time that Nick had come back and entered the room, Daisy and I were fully engrossed in our conversation. Oh, how I have missed that beautiful smile, her golden hair and her delicate laugh. Intending to prolong her stay, I invite her to my home, to show how much she has been missing since she had left me and married Tom. When we entered the house, she was amazed at the extravagant belongings that I have. Room by room, she continued to be in awe, even starting to cry. I was glad to have her in my presence again, how much I light up by just being near her. Wanting to have a life with her, I share that I stare across the water at the green light where her house is. I even say that I dream about our future together. There is nothing I have missed more than Daisy.

What I was thinking when I had thrown such extravagant parties

Ever since I had met and talked to Daisy, I knew that I had wanted to see her again. Just standing at the back of my house, looking across the water at her own home. I had thought of many possible solutions of how to get Daisy to come back over to see me. The one that seemed the most probable was to throw multiple parties to see if she would ever show up. Unfortunately, I had realized much later that it would take more than a party for her to come across my path again. I would need to come up with a solution that was more direct in order to see her beautiful face again.
